207 horse racing to be the fastest in Kejayan, Pasuruan

Dozens of racing jockeys spur their horses to be the fastest in the National Championship, at Ki Ageng Astrojoyo field, Desa Coban Joyo, District Kejayan, Pasuruan, East Java, on Sunday, September 21. This championship was held for the first time in East Java, and will become an annual event. This race fighting over the trophy from the Regents of Pasuruan, H. Irsyad Yusuf, SE, MMA.

Tradisi Pesta Mercon

Bagi masyarakat Indonesia, tradisi Sumet Mercon / Petasan ini adalah moment yang ditunggu-tunggu setelah melaksanakan sholat Idul Fitri. Petasan yang dipakai biasanya disebut brondongan. Bentuknya kecil-kecil tapi banyak. Ada juga yang menyalakan petasan dalam ukuran besar.
Di masyarakat pedesaan muncul ungkapan 'kalau tidak ada petasan berarti tidak Lebaran', Bukti bahwa petasan adalah bagian tradisi. Sedangkan didaerah perkotaan sejalan dengan perkembangan zaman, tradisi itu berangsur ditinggalkan, karena pemerintah memperketat aturan tentang membuat, membunyikan dan memperdagangkan mercon.

Pada petasan brondongan biasanya diseling-seling dengan kombinasi ukuran mercon yang berbeda, ada yang kecil dan yang besar, ketika disulut menimbulkan suara ledakan beruntun, layaknya bunyi senapan otomatis dan diselingi suara ledakan layaknya granat
